Glo or Glo 17?

It’s an age thing. If you ‘re under 18, you need a Glo 17 Smartcard which will feature your photograph. For adults, a full Glo Card is needed which can either feature your own photograph or an image of your choice, such as family member, friend, pet or cartoon character (copyright permitting). If your Glo or Glo 17 is lost or stolen, it can be easily replaced.

Glo by bus with a Glo 17 and get a child fare right up to your 18th birthday With a Glo 17 your son or daughter can get a child fare, right up to their 18th birthday, regardless of whether they are in school uniform.

"I’m 17 and I’m still getting a child fare"
"I’m glo ing by bus to school"

Young adults aged between 11- 18th birthday - require a Citizencard or Glo 17 to purchase a child fare. Remember to purchase your child day ticket or return earlier in the day as we do not issue child tickets after 2200.

Many local schools have already agreed to participate, easing congestion at the beginning and end of the day, and giving their students the best possible choices both in and out of school.

If you have a CitizenCard already you can apply for your Glo 17 online, if not apply in person at our office in the Square Bournemouth opposite Boots with photographic proof of evidence (don’t forget a current passport sized photo) and we will produce your card and send it to you as quickly as possible.
